LCCU Opens New Branch in High Point, its Fourth in the Triad Region

High Point, NC January 5th, 2022 – Today, January 5th, Latino Community Credit Union (LCCU) opened its 15th branch in North Carolina. Located in the heart of High Point at 2305 Westchester Drive, the new branch expanded LCCU’s footprint to better serve members within the Triad region.

Since opening its doors in downtown Durham in 2000, LCCU has grown to serve more than 105,000 members representing 138 countries—managing more than $710 million in assets. Today, LCCU has made more than $1.4 billion in fair and affordable loans, including to thousands of first-time home buyers. Building new capacity to serve members in the Triad region will offer local residents access to LCCU’s financial product and services—giving LCCU the opportunity to better serve communities and extend equal economic opportunities to all.

Angie Torres, the new branch manager, expresses excitement over the expansion. “We are overjoyed and proud to be able to provide a new branch for our members in the Triad region. Opening our doors in the city of High Point confirms our commitment to continue working for the benefits of all our members. It is our priority to be able to extend the community the access to economic opportunities, learning and development for them and their families.”

LCCU is one of the largest Latino-led credit unions in the U.S and a model for immigrant integration, financial inclusion, and social justice. LCCU continues to transform our financial system by ensuring equitable access to ethical financial products and education. At LCCU, member-owners are empowered to establish credit, buy their family homes, build generational wealth, and enjoy lasting prosperity.
