“LCCU broke down the language and cultural barriers, making me feel at home.”
Adam arrived from Sudan in 2012 as a refugee, not knowing how to speak English. Immediately, he faced two daunting challenges: learn the language in order to work and learn to navigate the American financial system. Although he managed to get a job, he still struggled with his finances. Coming to Latino Credit Union he learned about the importance of credit, and right away began to work on his finances. Now, he is a proud cab driver and is ready to start a new family. He gladly tells us that “today I have my car and my accounts thanks to your work.”
