Request for Proposals: Local Mural Competition Latino Community Credit Union - Fayetteville Branch
Project Overview: Latino Community Credit Union (LCCU) is seeking local artists to
create an inspiring and vibrant mural for our new branch in Fayetteville. This mural will
celebrate the community’s unique culture, diversity, and history while reflecting the

Submission Deadline: March 10th, 2025.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Open to artists and artist teams residing in North Carolina.
• Applicants do not have to be members of the credit union.
• Applicants must be 18 years or older.
• Preference will be given to artists with experience in large-scale mural projects.
Design Theme: The mural should:
• Highlight Fayetteville’s community spirit and cultural heritage.
• Incorporate the themes of financial empowerment, growth, and inclusivity.
• Align with the credit union’s mission of serving and uplifting the community.
Location Details:
• Mural Surface: 2 Sheetrock walls. 9’- 4”H X 15’-10” W & 9′- 4”H X 23’- 0 0” W
• Address: 121 Bonanza Dr Fayetteville NC 28303
• Visibility: The mural will be on an upper wall of an open atrium, facing members as
they enter the branch. This project will require a scaffold, which will be provided.
Submission Guidelines:
1. Proposal Document: Include the following:
• Artist Statement (500 words max): Describe your artistic vision and approach.
• Resume/CV: Highlight relevant experience, particularly with murals.
• Portfolio: Include 5-10 examples of previous work (PDF or online link).
2. Design Concept:
• Provide a detailed sketch or digital rendering of your proposed mural.
• Include a brief description of the concept and how it aligns with the theme.
3. Budget Breakdown:
• Provide a detailed budget outlining anticipated costs (e.g., materials, labor).
4. Timeline:
• Provide a proposed project timeline, from preparation to completion.
Selection Process: Representatives from LCCU will evaluate submissions based on the following criteria:
• Artistic merit and creativity.
• Alignment with the theme and mission.
• Feasibility within the given timeline and budget.
• Experience and qualifications.
Key Dates:
• Submission Deadline: March 10th, 2025
• Finalist Notification: March 17th, 2025
• Project Start: March 31st, 2025
• Completion Deadline: May 15th, 2025

• The selected artist(s) will enter into a contract with LCCU.
• All designs must be original and not infringe on copyright or intellectual property.
• LCCU reserves the right to make reasonable modifications to the final design.
• The mural becomes the property of LCCU upon completion.
