Charlotte, NC December 17th, 2019 – Today Latino Credit Union (LCCU) opened a new branch located in east Charlotte at 2510 vista Drive. The new branch marks the credit union’s 5th branch in the Charlotte area and its 14th branch in the state of North Carolina.
LCCU first opened its doors in downtown Durham in the year 2000. Since then, the credit union has grown to serve more than 84,000 members, garnered more than $489 millions in assets, and empowered more than 3,900 first-time home buyers. Part of what makes LCCU so successful is its ability to engage with the growing Hispanic community in North Carolina through its fully bilingual and multicultural staff. Additionally, the credit union is committed to economic inclusion and strengthens communities through its award winning in-branch financial education workshops.
The new branch in east Charlotte will enable the credit union to continue providing its products and services to the Charlotte community and will provide residents of the area with the opportunity to bank and invest locally and ethically. “We are very happy to open another branch in the Charlotte region,” explains Silvana Espindola, the manager at the new branch. “We hope that our members will enjoy the benefit of having us closer, and we are excited to provide an excellent experience and reach out to more people in our community.”
