Raleigh<\/span>, NC,\u00a0<\/span>February 27<\/span>\u00ba<\/span>, 20<\/span>21<\/span>\u00a0\u2013<\/span>\u00a0Latino Community Credit Union\u00a0<\/span>h<\/span>osted<\/span>\u00a0its second successful vaccination\u00a0<\/span>event<\/span>\u00a0against COVID-19, located<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>at their Raleigh\u00a0<\/span>branch<\/span>. This event was<\/span>\u00a0aimed towards the Latino\u00a0<\/span>c<\/span>ommunity in the Triangle-area of North Carolina.\u00a0<\/span>With the collaboration of\u00a0<\/span>Duke Health,<\/span>\u00a0Duke Raleigh,<\/span>\u00a0LATIN<\/span>–<\/span>19<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0La\u00a0<\/span>Semilla<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>El Centro Hispano, Greenlight, Curamericas, and Southeastern Healthcare, more than 500 people were able to receive the vaccine for COVID-19.<\/span><\/p>\n

The focus for this vaccination campaign served mainly\u00a0<\/span>towards\u00a0<\/span>adults over 65<\/span>\u00a0years of age<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>health sector<\/span>\u00a0workers<\/span>, and teachers\u00a0<\/span>v\u00e1lido o un\u00a0<\/span>staff responsible for the care of children<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0wh<\/span>o in the face of<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the current pandemic<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>are<\/span>\u00a0deemed<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the most<\/span>\u00a0vulnerable group<\/span>s<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>The community was welcomed with<\/span>\u00a0Latin-American music,\u00a0<\/span>boxes of frozen meat<\/span>y\u00a0<\/span>Personal Protective Equipment<\/span>\u00a0(PPE)<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>The ambiance was made to uplift a community that has been affected by the pandemic, and ensured they felt safe and took with them a more hopeful view of the future.<\/span><\/p>\n
